    This particular restaurant is said to be one of the Top 3 in PJ. Their signature fried noodles always have the ability to ensure that customers come back on a regular basis. Many proclaim that the rich pork flavour followed by the thick sauce is what encourages them to return.

    Ah Wah Hokkien Mee was started by a married couple who had a dream to bring this delicacy to the next level. This stall sticks out by adding a lot of pieces of crispy lard to enhance the pork flavour. As the owner uses charcoal to cook the noodles, Ah Wah Hokkien Mee is said to produce one of the most authentic Hokkien Mee in the PJ area.
    Tips

    Go early, as the Hokkien Mee is sold out very quickly.

    Things to expect

    If there are too many people, the owner may tell you to come back another time or to take away.

    Wat Tan Hor noodles.

    For those who wish to indulge in some delicious hokkien mee, do head over to Ah Wa. Ah Wa has been around for ages, and have kept its reputation amongst fellow customers. Their style of cooking is traditional, using a wok and charcoal for cooking. With their generous ingredients and chewy noodles, no one can resist!
    Tips

    Avoid trying the Wat Tan Hor if you’re not feeling adventurous, as it may not be your preference.

    Busy crowd and slightly grimy ambiance, but great Hokkien Mee!

    Located a few shoplots away from Restoran Damansara Uptown Hokkien Mee, this shop gives them a run for their money. This shop can be considered to be versatile as it’s version of Hokkien Mee is considered to be drier than the usual. Also, the noodles are cooked in such a manner that they are both tender and light.
    Tips

    Ask for more lard, as the portion is not very generous.

    Outdoor seating.

    Nam Yu’ Fried Chicken as an appetizer.

    This stall is one of the few Hokkien Mee places that still use Charcoal in their cooking. Many who have tried this have claimed that it’s Hokkien Mee not only melts in their mouths but has such a unique taste that they are left wanting more. The stall is run by a man named Jackson, who aims to keep to tradition in his way of cooking.

    Parking is a bit far.

    Peng Yuan Hokkien Mee has been highly recommended by many people as one of their personal favourites. This stall has been said to be a tough competitor to Ah Wah Hokkien Mee. Until this day, many people still cannot decide which is better, Peng Yuan or Ah Wah.

    Resist ordering other noodles as they all may not be as delightful as the Hokkien Mee.
