Best Nasi Lemak in Ipoh

Out-of-town locals absolutely love it here with many claiming it's the best nasi lemak kukus in Ipoh! The nasi lemak is more Malay-style so sambal is sweeter and won't make you break a sweat. Only open for breakfast, Kak Leha's nasi lemak sells like hotcakes throughout the morning.

Located at Batu Gajah area, Pak Nan's nasi lemak kukus is highly recommended by its loyal following. Prices are a little bit higher than regular nasi lemak you can find around the area. However, considering the variety of dishes that are available, we reckon that the nasi lemak kukus berlauk is worth a try! While we love nasi lemak, we've got to admit that it is not quite a balanced healthy meal... So pack on those vegetables on your plate to lessen that guilt (if any)!

Situated behind Medan Selera Aneka, Allongs Restaurant is a Malaysian-restaurant that serves hearty and wholesome local food. That, of course, includes the nasi lemak that we absolutely love here. Allongs is THE classic Malaysian breakfast restaurant whereby you'll find authentic Malaysian dishes at its best, specifically Malay cuisine. Made daily with love, the lontong here has been highly raved about as well. No doubt, Allongs the place to be for an awesome start to your day!

A cafe with local delights as well as Western/Italian, one of Coffeeright Place's signature dishes is indeed a local favourite, the nasi lemak. With fresh, fragrant and palatable chicken rendang to accompany your fatty rice, fried egg, cucumber, anchovies and peanuts, we definitely understand why our national dish is also Coffeeright Place's forte. Portion is generous too. This must be the 'right place.'

Open daily till late, Nasi Lemak Ayam Kampung is known for more than its nasi lemak. You'll also find steak, chicken chop, soups and grilled seafood in their menu. If you ask us, of course we would recommend the amazing Nasi Lemak here. While the signature one is with ayam kampung, we reckon other protein options such as the freshly grilled or stir fried squid or crab(!) are worth a go. Do take note that portions are quite small and prices are not very pocket-friendly. Nonetheless, the nasi lemak here is delicious!
