Warung Wak Rahman
Pair a plate of nasi lemak sambal sotong with a milky cup of teh tarik to take advantage of all things good in Warung Wak Rahman. Many regulars return to the warung for the nasi lemak as they claim there is no place else better than Wak Rahman's. Though the fatty rice has only a tinge of coconut milk, the strong flavors from the accompaniments prove adequate in this case.

GBU Eating Point
Previously known as P.D. Eating Point, GBU Eating Point claims to be one of the best places to eat in town and we couldn't agree more. First off, the restaurant has been a long time surviving one that serves a variety of food such as Asian, Western and even some Eastern cuisine. Particularly known for local dishes, we gotta give props to our favourite dish, nasi lemak as well as others such as roti bakar and tom yam fried meehoon.

Sukand's Food StationCertified
halalFragrant, textured and savoury are the words that describe Sukand's Food Station's nasi lemak. The rice is not very fatty but still emulates a faint fragrance that tickles our noses just enough to get that hint of the coconut milk scent. As for the dish, it is topped with sweet smelling sambal and some crackers to give the national favourite a bit more of some oomph.

Cowboy Place
Though primarily renowned for nasi kukus ayam panggang, Cowboy Place also whips up yummy classic nasi lemak. The nasi kukus pretty much resembles what we look for except that the rice is without the lemak, but if you love that fatty rice then just grab the prewrapped ones on the tables! We assure you that you won't regret it. Be sure to pair your rice with the infamous roast chicken!

Nasi Lemak Ayam VKK
Located slightly away from main town, VKK's nasi ayam goreng is one that is loved by locals who frequent the area. We reckon the place is rather underrated due to its location. That is why we just had to include their signature nasi ayam in this list. The sambal is spicy and sweet while the chicken is crunchy, tender and flavourful. The lemak is not found in the rice but we assure you that it won't be a problem once you taste the dish.

Restoran Seri MesraCertified
halalNasi lemak bungkus is the most common and affordable form of nasi lemak. While one packet may not necessarily fill the stomach of an average eater, you could always get side dishes to accompany the dish. Seri Mesra is renowned for its seafood as well as catering services. One of the best sellers for catering here is the nasi lemak bungkus which you'll be able to find laying on the tables here. It's simple but palatable. To uncover what's inside the packet, you're gonna have to find out yourself.
