Best Poached Eggs in Kota Kinabalu

The letter B in The B Side does not stand for uncalled words... or at least that's what we think. Either way, The B Side is definitely of A quality when it comes to whipping up luscious poached eggs. You can experience that yellow creamy goodness in dishes such as Eggs Benedict and Big Breakfast. The cafe is known for its great coffee and affordable fares so don't be surprised if tables are unavailable.

If there's only one fact to promote about Kudos Bistro, we would certainly pick its beautiful selections of food. The restaurant evidently puts a lot of thought and precision into food styling as all dishes that leave the kitchen are typically aesthetically pleasing. What's better is that taste wise, the food is equally on par with its looks. We especially love the Caesar Salad here which is made out of the classic ingredients such as greens, bacon, parmesan and egg except this rendition includes a poached egg rather than a conventional hard-boil.

Cafe on 55 is Tong Hing Supermarket's inhouse cafe that serves all day breakfast. The supermarket itself is rather atas, stocking premium imported items that won't be found elsewhere in the city. Therefore, one may expect slightly higher prices at the cafe too. Food is alright but we can't deny that not everyone will be happy to fork out their cash here. That being said, the Eggs Benedict is one of the safer choices on the menu.

As the tagline reads "where people meet", Socialize is probably the best spot to meet people and.... well, socialize. With good food and music, what is there not to love? We especially adore the Big Breakfast here that comes with bread, ham, tomato, baked beans, mushrooms, sausages and of course, eggs! Have your eggs cooked however you like them but if you ask us, we definitely recommend having them poached.

Pregio by Barista is a rather small cafe with a matching menu but that does not stop patrons from pouring in. Food here is commended by many though beverages are not as favored. Either way, we recommend Pregio's Combo, a 'deconstructed' breakfast that is executed in a charming way. Break open that poached egg under the hollandaise sauce to reveal runny, warm and oozing yolk that will surely satisfy.

If you're an avid Instagrammer and put a lot of importance on what your handphone camera eats, Adelphi & Co will certainly tickle your fancy. The cafe is probably one of KK's best brunch spots as it offers a menu of remarkably beautiful and delicious tasting brunch dishes. We especially love everything that embraces their splendid poached eggs which is typically executed with perfection.

Teddy N Me may be a themed cafe but teddy bears are not the only attraction here. The cafe has reaped a solid reputation for itself as its prices are unbeatable, literally. At less than RM 10, you'll be able to grab yourself the classic Eggs Ben. It's not just the price that's great, the dish itself is toothsome. Despite 'low' prices, the poached eggs are plesantly refined!
