Siang has been an anchor-point for Halal Dim Sum & Buffet for quite a long time. Serving an array of uniquely crafted dim sum in a beautifully designed oriental themed dining, they’d definitely garnished quite an attention. Especially with its prime location, office people from nearby buildings and offices tend to go over for lunch. Flavours are extremely important to Siang Seafood Restaurant. Almost every basket of dim sum had a great depth of flavour along with a decent texture.
    Tips

Avoid leaving/entering the building (SOGO) between 6-7pm on weekdays due to the horrendous jam.

    Things to expect

Grade A cleanliness and friendly service. Rather packed on weekend brunch.

    Best with

Siu Mai, Shanghai Dumpling, Fish Porridge, Mini Egg Tart, and Chilled Mango Puree with Vanilla Ice Cream.

    Maju Palace

Making dim sum without pork is quite a difficult thing to do – more so if it were to be delicious or even come close to the taste and texture of a good pork dim sum. However, expectations are met in Maju Palace. Owned and managed by Oriental Group of Companies, their selection of restaurants has been quite well received. As a whole, Maju Palace offers both quality and flavour within a reasonable price-range.
    Tips

Lai Po Heen, much like Tao @ Intercontinental, is a restaurant of pure luxury. Among all the restaurants available in Mandarin Oriental, Lai Po Heen is the only one that serves Chinese Cuisine. Elegantly placed overlooking the KLCC-park with stylish traditional-contemporary interior. Wooden chairs, decorated walls, carved plaster-ceiling and a warm and comfortable lighting, it’s great for a family lunch or business meet-up.
    Tips

For those who enjoy taking Instagram photos or take a peek at strangers jogging/walking, sit by the window.

    Tai Zi Heen

Good dim sum buffets are really scarce, especially when it comes to a 5-star hotel. Generally as we all know, luxury oriental restaurant do not offer dim sum buffet as they believe each basket is crafted to perfection. Hence, a 5-star dim sum buffet is almost impossible. However, despite all the impossibilities, Tai Zi Heen seems to have broken that perception. Abundance of varieties, great flavours, good textures, mesmerizing interior and best of all, value for money dim sum!
    Tips

Reservation may help if you’re seeking for a larger table.

    Things to expect

Clean and organised interior with nothing too fancy. A storm of crowd during weekend brunch.

    Best with

Congee with century eggs, Siu Mai, Hong Kong Roast Duck, Crystal Dumplings, Braised Chicken Feet.

    Price

    RM52.00 to RM100.00
