Best Ramadan Bazaars in Klang Valley

Written by Updated ago

It’s that time of the year again. The month of Ramadan has finally descended upon us all and with it, we welcome the comforting knowledge that the usual Ramadan bazaars will be unfolding its colourful umbrellas and presenting oh-so-glorious food to us. Regardless of whether you are fasting or not, everybody loves good-ole-Ramadan bazaars. Everyone gets a chance to be let off work early so working moms who don’t have time to cook for their families can just take away a few meals here, students staying in hostels can buy their favourite rendang and foreigners lucky enough to visit Malaysia this time of the year can have a taste of Malaysian culture in one complete package. We have covered the halal buffets plus the Ramadan buffets previously. And since there are about 2 weeks left of Ramadan, so why don’t you make a to-do list for the must-visit Ramadan bazaars according to this list? But, a word of advice, make your way from 4 to 5pm to these bazaars to avoid disappointment!

Kelana Jaya Ramadan BazaarPork free d90bfb235d64e73ff14d8ad65b89aaab71a3af43962907cb9cd494af0a63fa21Alco free 9fb1f2c65edc2c1eaf4e8b24402d108dd33cc2bc71f0fb0022a54c3c390a66c8

Located just opposite the Giant Mini Market in Jalan SS6/1, Kelana Jaya, this particular bazaar is fairly easy to find and famous for having more than 6 different stalls selling grilled items. Since we heard bucketloads of praises for the sambal ikan cencaru stall, we headed to that one first and was impressed with the owner’s explanation and service. The fact that he gave us extra sambal didn’t hurt either. The bazaar has expanded to a larger number this year, probably to accomodate Kelana Jaya’s increasing population. Visiting here will be worth it just to see a stall which was creatively branded as Popiah FAM as a nod to the Malaysian Football Association. However, the food here may be a little pricier than the other on the list, but fret not, lighter pockets almost always mean fuller bellies. 😉
    Tips

To avoid parking frustrations, we suggest visitors to park in Giant’s parking lots. Walking the extra distance is much easier than paying a few hundred ringgit for scratches on your car.
