The Spice Market Cafe is one of Shangri-la's prized gem in the culinary world. This fair fancy restaurant with a warm and cozy ambiance has been one of the best places to enjoy a vast and hearty buffet. Not only are most of the items here fresh, they are also cooked to perfection. Sure, with time the dishes that aren't doing so well will become stale. However, the turnover is fairly quick which allows them to refill the food immediately.

Via Pre is one of Penang's best Italian restaurants, and it certainly does seem like it's here to stay for a long time. Offering a widespread of delicious cured meat, pastas and pizzas, it might be hard to decide on what to order. On top of that, there's also a selection of wines to compliment. Prices are fairly reasonable and everything is done perfectly. 

What The Duck Restaurant is an Asian fusion with a modern European cuisine twist. The restaurant is run by Chef Daniel Tan and is a casual dining place with a motto that says “Be Creative and Passionate”.  The restaurant's specialty is none other than dealing with dishes involving poultry meat. The price range of the food is actually affordable so you do not have to worry about spending a large sum of money to try out their food. Their signature dishes are Duck Confit Spaghetti, Spicy Indonesia Bek – Bek Pasta, Balinese Crispy Duck (Bek – Bek) and many others that can be found in the menu.

Tek Sen Restaurant opened in 1965 in George Town. The restaurant delivers delicious variety of Chinese cuisine which includes Cantonese, Teowchew, Hakka, and Peranakan. The restaurant earned a reputation that attracted locals and even people from other parts of Malaysia to visit and try their dishes. Their signature dishes are Assam Tumis Fish, Trotters in Black Vinegar (“ Tu Kha Chor”) and Double Roasted Pork Fried with Chili Padi ( “ Char Siew Bak”). The staff are known to be really friendly and are willing to give recommendations if you are still unsure on what to order.

Known for it's Asam Laksa, My Own Cafe is a well known cafe situated in George Town,Penang. The Cafe's openness allows for cooling air to come in and help one to wind down for the day. The cafe's menu is small, consisting of it's very well known Asam Laksa, some durian ice cream, Muah Chee and some of their signiture drinks amongst other dishes and beverages.

The cafe is well known for the Bagel Muffins they serve, like the Bagel Muffin with Bacon & Egg, or the Bagel Muffin with Corned Beef, as well for their sweet homemade yogurt. The ambiance of the cafe allows for one to sit back and enjoy a cup of coffee or one of their bagel muffins at ease. One can also purchase just the bagel muffins from the bakery next door.

Kebara at Seven Terraces has a stunningly well-designed space that dwells in the past, but at the same time, portrays a modern and edgy vibe. The  intrinsic details on the floor, wooden furnitures used and various ornaments do set the mood quite nicely. On top of that, they offer Nyonya cuisine at its best, with each dish having a good twist of modern semi-fine dining. Perfectly cooked and beautifully presented, Kebaya at Seven Terraces surpasses most Nyonya restaurants in Penang.

If you've enjoyed movies that have their weddings held outdoors by the beach, with those white tents and flowery decor, then you're gonna love beach Blanket Babylon. Best having seated outdoors, this restaurant has been a great place the go-to place for many dates, and will probably stay that way for a long time. As for their food, you can expect a great deal of finesse and flavour, both working hand in hand to create a plethora of flavours, textures and atmosphere.

Located on the 2nd Floor of Eden Parade in Batu Ferringhi is a restaurant by the name of Andrew’s Kampung. It is said to be “ A must visit” if you happen to be around the area. It is an All-You-Can-Eat where family and friends can visit and enjoy. The restaurant serves a variety of foods including Malaysian, Chinese, Nyonya, Thai, Western, Steamboat and BBQ. They even provide catering services. The price range for the place is surprisingly affordable and people who have gone there will always mention how clean the restaurant is and how good the services are.

Living Room Cafe Bar and Gallery is known for their relaxing atmosphere and live performances run by Ben and Amy. The restaurant gives out this relaxation vibe when you enter the Asian themed café and bar. They serve a mixture of Malaysian and Western Fusion foods. The restaurant is well known for their Beef Rendang. The staff are always ready to give a warm welcome and serve you. The food is pretty affordable and overall the restaurant is a great place to relax and socialise with others.

The Jawi House Cafe & Gallery is a restaurant led by chef Nurilkarim bin Mohd Razha.Located along a road filled with a rich history, the cafe recreates an ambience that is able to capture the locations historical background.The huge array of pictures and paintings, accompanied by the wooden furniture add to the ahestetic appeal of the cafe. The cafe provides dishes such as the Herbal Lemuni Rice, Balmieh and Spicey Chicken Soup, along with a selection of desserts.

The Mews Cafe is an eatry located with in the Muntri House Hotel. It's menu is varied, spliting it into two seperete catergories, local and western. The local catergory provides dishes such as the  Nasi Lemak Bento and Beef Rendang, while the Western catergory has foods such as Chickn Pie or French Toast for breakfest. The ambiance in the cafe is relaxing and calming, allowing one's self to enjoy their meal with comfort.

The Junk Cafe is an intereasting cafe where they hang a variety of different items around the place, the items are usually things people would of once considered junk, hence the name. Due to the items scattered about the cafe, there is bound to be something that'll catch your attention. The Cafe's menu is short and simple, specializing in Burgers boasting names like Blood Cream Chicken Sandwich or Full of Junk Burger. The eatry also serves a dish called  Crab Roll, which is only available from Fridays to Sundays.
