Padang Brown Hawker
What makes this spot unique is that their hawker stalls are separated into the halal and non-halal sections. You will find a combination of all kinds of local delights; after all, this is what makes us truly Malaysian. Among the myriad of food stalls lies a quiet little stall offering all sorts of yong tau fu, and for those with a penchant for innards such as intestines, you can enjoy this chewy offal over here. Just pick a bowl and a pair of tongs and grab whatever you want before handing it over to the cook for a blanch in the hot soup.

Restoran Kampar Fish Jelly
This place is definitely famous for its Hakka-style yong tau fu freshly dished from the wok. Stuffed with a variety of ground meat and fish paste, Restoran Kampar’s yong tau fu is a place for locals to really enjoy a bowl of mouth-watering yong tau fu. Chewy yet delicate in texture, their yong tau fu is less salty compared to the other stalls in Penang. Definitely a healthier alternative, its soup base is made of traditional “chintan” spices – the perfect concoction for an empty stomach!
