Chee cheong fun, or rice rolls, are one of the most accepted and loved Chinese dishes in our nation. Chee cheong fun are essentially steamed rice rolls that are served with a savoury or sweet sauce. The Cantonese version (or Hong Kong Chee Cheong Fun) is usually filled with either prawns or mince. Our local version, instead, is hollow but served with sesame seeds and a prawn pasted based spicy-sweet sauce. Klangites, you're in luck because we're about to show you the best chee cheong fun in your town.

Grand Imperial
One of the most famous Chinese restaurant brands in our nation today, Grand Imperial is not named as such for no valid reasons. In fact, we exhibit our full support by including the Klang branch in this list as they serve remarkable dim sum (and Chinese food). Prices are not friendly to our pockets but the chee cheong fun and other dim sum treats are definitely friendly to our senses.

Long Kei Chee Cheong Fun
A substantial number of Klangites evidently refers to Long Kei Chee Cheong Fun when they recommend 'Klang Chee Cheong Fun' to fellow outsiders. Packed with a bunch of optional ingredients, the real star in Long Kei's classic dish lies in the cheong and fun. The sauce is thick enough to coat the rice strips fully but thin enough to not choke your throat. More importantly, flavors are on point and all ingredients sourced are not only fresh but seasoned to perfection.More infoRestoran Long Kei View restaurant

Medan Selera Eng Ann
Spongy and springy yet smooth and soft, the fun of Eng Ann Food Court's chee cheong fun is an absolute delight in terms of texture. As for flavors, the sauce packs a whole punch of them. With additional ingredients added such as fish balls and what not, this plate is unquestionably one of the more popular choices here.

Restoran Tien Chuan
Restoran Tien Chuan is a hawker centre ala-Malaysian. The powerhouse is the roof for many acclaimed hawker dishes such as har mee, char kuey teow, yong tau foo and of course, chee cheong fun. Take note though that the chee cheong fun is best when mixed with yong tau foo! Springy, spongy but smooth all at once, the texture of the fun is the best part about Tien Chuan's chee cheong fun.

SM Yong Tau Foo
This restaurant is ultimately renowned for their apparent amazing yong tau foo, which includes chee cheong fun too. While Restoran SM houses some other great curry mee and wan tan mee, our eyes are set on the silky smooth chee cheong fun. Besides the texture, we also especially love the savoury-sweet sauce and the fried shallots to go with the rice noodle rolls!
