Asserted to be the largest sports cafe in Melaka, Hola Cafe is equipped with coin-operated machine games and electronic games such as foosball, and cue sports. Western cuisines makes up most of the menu items here, in addition to Asian delights to appease our local taste buds such as the chef recommended Hola Fried Rice here. It may sound costly for a simple rice dish, but nevertheless, this is a must-try when you’re craving for fried rice! This dish is sauteed with julienne shallot that gives it its subtle flavour, yet tasty and complemented with a sunny side up egg, a deep fried chicken wing, creamy salad and prawn crackers.

Bukit China Soya Bean House
Apart from its stylish-looking and cozy ambience, if you’re keen on trying out traditional Chinese desserts, you can't leave without sampling a bowl of soybean curd from Bukit China Soya Bean House. 36 Kopitiam
36 Kopitiam is an unpretentious eatery down the alley that was once known as the “Popiah Street”, back in the good old days. Regardless of that, this straightforward place has never failed to impress its patrons with a fair range of Chinese cuisines ranging from assorted rice dishes to mixed variation of noodle meals, both dry and with gravy versions. If you need a recommendation, the regulars here swear by its Spicy Fried Rice. This tempting-looking rice is garnished with full-sized meaty prawns at the top and bursting with flavours. For spicy-eaters, get that extra kick or oomph with its spicy savoury sambal (chilli paste) at the side.

Veggie Planet
As the name implies, Veggie Planet is favourable among the non-meat lovers. It churns out all sorts of vegetarian dishes more than you can imagine, including the fusion of cuisines to suit our local palate. In addition to that, you get to dine in a homely vibe, while savouring good-tasting food such as Golden Fried Rice with fried egg and mix shredded cabbage. True enough, the colour of the rice itself can best describe its name, while this full-bodied meal is also complemented with fried egg and mix shredded cabbage. Alternatively, the Kang Kong Fried Rice is equally good too. As an overall, this place is a good value for money - remarkable for its customer service and is worth every penny spent!

Hup Huat Restaurant
Hup Huat Restaurant has been established since 1969. Apparently, it was made popular at a location that is now known to be a one-stop shopping mall, “The Shore Shopping Gallery”. Boasting its consistency in stir-frying the very same a la carte dishes from the wok till today, this zi char restaurant earns a loyal following, especially when it comes to communal dining, where everyone digs in together over a couple of savoury dishes. Besides claypot porridge, nothing hits the spot like a plate of Nasi Goreng Kampung (village-styled fried rice), subtle in taste and embellished with chopped fresh spring onions, in comparison to a similar Malay version ones.
