For Hakkas or vegetarian, you all might know what Lei Cha is, and for those who don't, it's basically a compilation of vegetables in a bowl followed by a tsunami of green tea 'broth' or 'soup'. It may sound a little odd, but then again, it is. Having said that, if done correctly, a bowl of Lei Cha can be absolutely delightful. Plenty of textures to go around and the flavours certainly are quite distinct. It's either a like-it or hate-it kinda thing. So be wary.

Restoran Meng Shiang
Restoran Meng Shiang may not be the most comfortable, nor the fanciest restaurant to bring your date to. It is however, a stunning place for hakka lei cha. It's incredibly healthy, considering its all vegetables and undeniably delicious. Full of fresh greens, peanuts rice or noodles and of course, a side of green tea soup. It's cheap as well, so no worries there!
