After multiple renovation and takeovers (it was previously known as Ryu Men Tai), Kin Ryu Tei is now looking absolutely stunning. With beautifully modern yet warm and cozy interior, lush sushi counter tops with comfortable soft chairs, it definitely is inviting. Serving Japanese cuisine at a relatively good price, in terms of its price to taste ratio. However, Kin Ryu Tei isn’t a dedicated ramen place hence the difference in broth and consistency.More info

Marutama Ramen
Marutama Ramen, the one with the Basketball-like logo, with 2 branches – one in Fahrenheit 88 and the other in Empire Subang, serves simple yet delicious ramen. Like most ramen joint, the key to a good ramen is 3 things. The consistency and springiness of noodles, depth of flavour of broth and fresh additional ingredients such as char siew or broiled egg. Ichiban Ramen
Ichiban Ramen, unlike the rest of the nominees, is a Japanese restaurant dedicated towards serving ramen. Though they also offer a small amount of other Japanese dishes such as don-sets and tempuras but ultimately, ramen it is. Ichiban’s style of ramen is quite different as well. Instead of using heavy, intense flavoured tonkotsu broth (pork bone), they opt for a lighter chicken-based soup. Hence, most of what they offer are pretty mild as compared to some other ramen joints.More info

Similarly to Kin Ryu Tei, Yamada Japanese restaurant serves a variety of Japanese dishes, not just ramen alone. Being one of the latest additions to the Subang Jaya line of Japanese restaurant, they will definitely face fierce competition from its rivals. Not to mention they are located right across SDMC (previously known as SJMC), same row with Rakuzen, and Kin Ryu Tei.
