For those who are unaware, The Penthouse Subang offers one of the most amazing steaks you can find – especially The Tomahawk. It’s basically Wagyu Weighing at a minimum of 1.6kgs, yes, a minimum of 1.6 kilograms! So you better come in hungry. The Tomahawk was beautifully pink and was extremely juicy and succulent. It’s grilled with nothing but a sprig of rosemary and some garlic. Additionally, there was a serving of brown sauce along with some sea salt. Though the brown sauce was pretty pointless, the sea salt on the other hand worked remarkably. Absolutely lovely and definitely worth the price.

A humble and warm café located on the upper floor. Though the ground floor banner could have been a little bit bigger as it was pretty hard to find. For the local “Subang-ites” however, it has been a household name for many when it comes to Western food. Aside from their famous chicken chop or lamb shank, they do offer quite a decent steaks. Juicy, a little tough but generous ladling of gravy, which is great for those who don’t do so well with pungent beefy taste/scent. And the best part? You won’t expect an exploding bill. 

For years, this restaurant has glorify us with their range of delicious Western cuisine. When it comes to steak, none can beat Victoria Station. If you cannot decide how you want your steak to be, ask the chef’s recommendations as the meat is cooked in different styles. Try the air-flown ribeye steak or the XO Steak. All dishes will be served with a generous amount of mashed potatoes, some vegetables and a full corn on the cob. No matter medium-rare or even medium-well, you can be sure your meat is beautifully char-grilled to a rather delectable texture. 

Steak here is within one of their available set dinner meals where you will get a grilled rib-eye steak drenched with red wine sauce and then accompanied with mashed potatoes and vegetables. It can be cooked accordingly but if you have no preference, the tender meat will be done medium well and when cut into, you can see some warm meat juices flowing out and mixing with the red wine-infused brown sauce, you are up for a treat. The mashed potatoes fill up the second half of the plate and is tasty enough to be consumed on its own.
