It may look ordinary but know that it tastes more than it looks. A simple dish that’s worth your time and money. You’ll only be served with one of the freshest fishes you can get your hands on. This dish is showered with loads of minced ginger covering the fish’s body. Topped with chopped scallions to get that extra fragrant flavour and making the dish less dull looking. The fish is steamed evenly and seasoned nicely on both sides. You’ll get the gingery flavour as well as that soft fleshy texture from the fish. Do watch out for bones and eat with care.

Coming from the name of its restaurant you would definitely know what their specialty would be. Absolutely delectable and enticing enough to make you devour this fish leaving only its bones. The fish is specially steamed evenly for a specific time to get that fish texture perfect when eaten. Chopped garlic and minced ginger are spread around the entire fish. Filled with fish sauce and a little cooking oil to make it tastier. Also, not forgetting the simple garnishing of chopped spring onions, sprigs of parsley and thinly sliced carrots. A hint of rice wine gives that subtle taste complimenting the dish.

A completely different way of steaming but nevertheless brings authenticity and rich flavours from its special sauce. Originated from Thailand, Coca restaurant has been serving quality seafood dishes since 1957 and one in particular would be their famous steamed fish in Thai style. This dish usually serves siakap fish as it suits the way the dish is cooked. Garnished with chopped scallion, cilli padi, fresh garlic, coriander, chopped ginger and lime sauce drizzeled around the entire fish. The flesh of the fish was fresh and firm but not overcooked. The lime sauce gives that extra zesty touch complimenting the fish. This dish quite a hit and a crowd pleaser so do give this a try out.

Indeed, a masterpiece giving full attention not only to taste but to presentation as well. Known to be a Cantonese classic dish which highlights the fish well. Fish is steamed evenly and accompanied with bean curd and small pieces of wood fungus as the main ingredients. Also not forgetting, sprigs of parsley and coriander for garnishing. The fish is rested flat on a beautiful white porcelain plate filled with soy sauce to give that savoury taste. A simple steamed fish dish with a little twist because it is not fun being all plain Jane on a dish.
