It's oriental, and it's a shop that serves rice. The name 'Oriental Rice Shop' doesn't get any more self-explanatory as that. But one thing this ordinary-looking mixed rice shop will tell you, though, that the dishes they serve ranging from vegetables to tofus to proteins have a oriental taste to them. Thus making it one of the most oriental mixed rice shops around Penang. While the price you're paying for might be a little be steep compared to other mixed rice shops, but it's totally worth every single penny for a better quality and more variety of dishes.

Sin Kim San Cafe
Revered as one of the best coffee shops on Penang Island for it's great variety of cuisines served by numerous food stalls set up in the establishment, you'll be mistaken for a second that you are in a run-of-the-mill coffee shop and not in a tiny food court. Though it's been made famous thanks to the fan-favourite wood-fired pizza stall there, it does take some time to have your food to be ready. So if you're impatient, come over to the mixed rice corner instead. It'll give you more value for your money and gives your more freedom to add what you want on your plate of rice.
