Aftermeal Desserts is a local dessert brand established in March 2019 at Damansara Utama. It’s desserts is a result of unique fusion between Japanese Desserts and Taiwanese Desserts. 

The 3 recommended classic desserts at Aftermeal Desserts which we have tried includes, Calamansi Yokan, Classic Grass Jelly & Iron Lady Milk Tea Kakigori. The desserts were beautifully presented and tasted amazingly delicious. The Iron Lady Milk Tea Kakigori is definitely a MUST TRY at Aftermeal Desserts!

Garage 51 has just recently introduced a new range of messed family desserts. It consists of four members - The Father (chocolate and peanut butter), The Mother (green tea base topped with Oreo biscuits), The Son (Nutella Chocolate!) and The Daughter (coconut base topped with crushed biscuits and raisins) – each unique on its own. Each cup is beautifully and carefully crafted, as balance in sweetness and flavour are crucial. All four members are photo-worthy, which makes it really popular on social media platforms. If you miraculously have no interest in milkshakes, do check out the messy garage pancake where fluffy pancakes are dressed to kill with cream cheese, strawberries, ice cream, caramel popcorn, cinnamon soil and Nutella. 

llaollao, one of the latest contenders for the throne of the best frozen yoghurt has finally landed in Malaysia. This epic yoghurt store is founded in Spain and has spread across the world with its authentic, organic and absolutely delicious variant of frozen yoghurt. Unlike many others, llaollao's frozen yoghurt has a distinct taste that simply most would enjoy. Not forgetting the amount of toppings such as fresh berries and fruits, along with crunches such as Chips Ahoy, White Chocolate Peanuts and more, it's one heck of a dessert. Also, don't forget to try out their Lotus Caramelised Biscuit sauce. Yum!

Does the thought of Japanese desserts excite you? Cause we definitely are! Here, we have Haraju Cube – a Japanese dessert cafe specialising in Japanese Honey Toast. The cafe takes pride in providing only the freshest, homemade ingredients for customers. Haraju Cube menu offers both sweet and savoury toasts to cater to different palates. First timers would rather baffle to make up your mind but nothing is short of delicious. Highly recommended are the Strawbelicious Honey toast and Milo Honey Toast. If you’re in for quick bites, do check out their cheese tarts. Whatever your selection maybe, you’re sure sharing the love over the social media.

Fat Spoon has been very popular for its mixture of Nyonya, local and Western delicacies in an avant-garde backdrop. If you happen to be active in social media, you’re sure to bump into their cempedak spring rolls, a must-have on the menu. The OFB X-Tini, which is a range of ice cream mixed with alcoholic beverages is certainly worth the try. The X-tini Tattooist is a combination of two different ice cream flavours - Blackcurrant & Blackberry along with Anzac Coconut Cookie dipped in Sailor Jerry Caribbean Rum and Espresso Syrup. And the best part is topping it over waffles or brownies. The tough part is picking a winner among the ice creams and best sidekick for it. 

If you’re looking for some dessert in a quaint and cosy environment, you sure came to the right place. Bons Café is the home to this sleek and clean looking crepe. But once you start munching in, an explosion of sweet and fruity flavours will emerge in your mouth. The crepe is thin and spongy, while the ice-cream and fruits did their job of complementing this delight. Not a crepe person? Do check out their range of cakes, especially ones infused with local fruit flavours like durian and cempedak cheesecake. 

TBF is a modern restobar, whereby the restaurant serves brunch, desserts & coffee brews by day; then transforms into a hip bar and club by night with a variety of alcohols on the menu. As the sun sets, Happy Hour deals and bar snacks are sought after, followed by a DJ that spins awesome EDM music, elevating the atmosphere & hype among the clubbing crowds. When it comes to food, TBF whips up innovative classic dishes that are temptingly delicious & Instagram-worthy. TBF signature dessert – Brownie Bombs is a must try. Crowds favourite also include Pancakes from Mars, Oreo Garden and Revenge of the Ballerina. Be prepare to be swooned.

The first thing that becomes very clear about the blueberry cheesecake pie served at Coffee Sprex is the generous amount of blueberries on the plate. The blueberries sauce is practically spilling over the top of the pie, which sets the tone for the rest of this dish. When honing in on the cheesecake base, it is very rich, soft and crumbly, with minor hints of cheese aroma; which is exactly what you should be looking for in a good plate of cheesecake. The copious amount of blueberries come in handy to cut through the richness of the cheesecake base, and even slightly overpower it; which helps to make it lighter as well. So it is very evident that the blueberry cheesecake pie at Coffee Sprex does a good job at standing out from its other contemporaries.

Strangers at 47’s selection of dessert crepes are as much as their savoury crepes, so patrons could choose either one (or both!). One of the raves at this cosy café is the Purple Rage. A sweet potato crepe, filled with Japanese sweet potato mash, coconut sago with pandan infused palm sugar, the serving has a nice yam-purple colour with pieces of sweet potatoes and sago, giving it a unique texture. Chocolate lovers could indulge in the Dark Side; a sweet dessert of chocolate crepe, dark chocolate spread, white chocolate curls, topped with vanilla ice-cream and drizzled with orange caramel. There is so much chocolate in one plate that whatever cravings you have, it will be fulfilled. 

Sanook is a Japanese and Thai fusion restaurant located in the all-new Sunway Pyramid West (or Sunway Nexus as some may call it). This restaurant features a wide range of delectable fusion dishes that combines the flavours of Thailand as well as the presentation and ingredients of what is commonly used in Japan. Apart from all that, there are two desserts that will certainly catch your attention - the Thai Volcano, which is a shaved ice topped with Thai milk tea, as well as Fresh Durian Ice Cream that uses real durian pulp and coconut milk to manifest a creamy and delicious treat.

From white chocolate to milk chocolate, as well as dark chocolate, all of them are equally mouth-watering when it's doused generously on desserts like crepes and brownies. And yes they are sure to win you likes in Instagram. All and all, just don't forget to drink more water and stay hydrated as chocolate can be really heaty.

La Manila Café is one of the oldest bakery cum café around PJ to have gracefully withstand stiff competition around Klang Valley all these years. Prides in offering premium cakes based on Filipino recipes, no doubt the cakes here are wholesome of goodness to anyone, not only taste wise, but price wise they are also very affordable and a massive of variety is offered here! The first and leading one to introduce Soft Gelato Sundae, we are really impressed with the masterminds of Cielo Dolci as they are constantly innovating & pushing boundaries. From being the expert in Italian Gelato to the launching of Whimsical Gelateria in Publika and now, the opening of Every Sundae. This new initiative from Cielo Dolci just proven to be another successful milestone for these guys. You can be sure to expect fantastic ice cream again. Cafe Lafayette is where you can be if you're in the mood for some simple, hearty Italian cuisine. Are you nuts about coconuts? Well, if you are, then you're in for a treat! Coconut Grove Dessert Corner is located in Bandar Utama and their main selling point is pretty much just coconuts. From coconut jelly to read bean soup, all of them are done within the coconut shell, ensuring that the flavours are nicely wrapped and secured. On top of that, coconut is great for fighting the horrible weather of Malaysia, which is great! EGG, or rather, 8 Gourmet Gala is a stunning restaurant located in Sunway Lagoon Hotel, right beside the entrance. It's not the most obviously located restaurant, but it certainly does deliver in terms of ambience and of course, food as well. Super refreshing and revitalising served with the freshest ingredients, and yet the flavors combine surprisingly well. One thing you have to try has to be their Caramelised Banana Sago Biscoff, it will leave you in awe.

Bingsu Cafe, as the name suggests, is a Korean dessert place that offers shaved ice. Like most bingsu places out there, you can expect several flavours apart from the signature peanut. The dish comes with finely shaved ice, which gives it a smoother and more enjoyable experience. On top of that, it also melts like snowflakes upon impact. From berries to affogato, all of them look like an Instagram material and really worth going for in terms of taste. So if you're in the mood for some Korean shaved ice, you've got to give Bingsu Cafe a try.

Stepping into Xiao by Crustz is certainly an unforgettable experience. The way the cafe is designed, from the choice of materials and colours to the composition as a whole, the place looks absolutely remarkable. With almost 7 years of training, the owner has decided to open up a pastry cafe with her sister and to allow everyone to try out some of her amazing desserts. From eclairs to puffs and tarts to cakes, everything is made in-house with their own recipe. The flavours are spot-on without being overly sweet nor overpowering. All and all, a great place for high tea!
