Duck Noodles Sungai Pinang
Juxtaposed Sungai Pinang Honda Showroom, there is a brimming street lined up with one of the best breakfast galore in the island. It’s a joy to be spoilt with choices and among the pleasure pillars is the Duck Noodles stall, which has a striking red board and hordes of patrons. The noodles used are mee suah, which has a milder and silky texture, binding well with the herbal base soup that has the perfect symmetry of sweet and savoury. A slab of duck drumstick, wolfberries and tinge of Angelica Sinensis or female ginseng completes the delightful bowl. You can also opt for chicken or pork for meat and egg noodles or vermicelli.

Kimberly Restaurant
Sited on Kimberly Street, this restaurant is a little pilgrimage for pork and duck devotees. It’s habitually teeming with customers, who just crave for the kueh chap, duck porridge and duck noodles. Chunks of meats are arranged like undulating mountains, and if the duck is your pick, it will be dunked into a sizzling herbal broth and stacked with layers of meaty goodness. The broth is oh-so-worth-it, which justifies the 30 years of their secret family recipe that speak out loud at each mouthful, feel free to imbibe it down. Moreover, their side of bright-red chili dipping sauce just kicks it with a dose of heat.
