Ming Xiang Tai Pastry Shop
Ming Xiang Tai Pastry shop is famous for their range of traditional Chinese pastry and one of the sought-after pastries is, you guess it, egg tart. The recipe for this delightful treat goes back since 1960s, so you can imagine how traditional the taste would be. The fluffy filling for the tart is not too sweet, with crispy shell to go along with it. Though it is best eaten while hot and if you manage to get the batch that just got out from the oven, do wait for a few moments or you’ll take the risk of burning your tongue. But for this specific tart, it could be just worth it.

For those who wants to try dessert with more nutritional value and feeling less guilty about it, 92 Armenian might be the place for you. The restaurant serves plenty of dessert with an additional ingredient to it: bird’s nest. The tart is a smooth egg custard with buttery, crumbly crust, and topped with bird’s nest. Priced at RM8.00 per piece, it might sound a bit steep than normal egg tart, but remember that the bird’s nest can be considered as one of the most expensive delicacies. Still sceptical?
