Brilliant Nasi Lemak House
Just as the name suggests, Brilliant Nasi Lemak House is famous for its variety of nasi lemak dishes, however their desserts are no slouch either. Certainly an ideal match, as the refreshing dessert sure puts all those spiciness at bay and there are three versions to choose from. But what’s really intriguing is their delicious Red Bean with Cashew Nut. I mean, how often you get to enjoy a bowl of finely shaved ice with cashew nuts? Quite unlikely, no? Overall, it hits the right spot between taste and texture.

May-May Ais Kacang
The Kepong Baru morning market is almost always filled to the brim with neighborhood go-ers, and one of the infamous stalls that most would visit is May May's ais kacang stall. Their shaved ice is distinguishable with its packed, longish height as compared to the usual mound. Are you a durian fan? Then you can opt for the pungent durian version which is topped with durian puree. If not, there are a multitude of options available to choose from, with variations such as explosive jelly, grass jelly, cendol, fruits and many more. So if you're into options, then definitely do come here!

Ais Kacang @ 37 Food Court
The smiley lady behind the humble stall has been dishing out awesome bowls of ais kacang for years - and it doesn't end here. The mound of shaved ice is so cooling, yet dissolves satisfyingly in the mouth like cotton candy. The best goodies like black cincau, kidney beans and strips of cendol are also hidden inside the shaved ice, all topped with her in-house gula melaka syrup. Not to worry if there are plenty of people as all the ingredients are set in a line before actually shaving the ice on them. So stay frosty!

Fatty Loong Ais Kacang
Located near the T-junction at Jalan Kepong Baru, Fei Zai Long (literally means “Fat Boy Long”) or Fatty Loong is popularly known by the locals for his signature ice kacang dessert. What makes Fatty Loong’s ice kacang such a sought-after dessert is its soft-shaven ice. Unlike the coarse and flaky shaved ice often found in most stalls, the ice here is so smooth that goes easy into your mouth. Also check out its thick and sweet Gula Melaka syrup and the generous amount of sweet ingredients blanketed at the bottom of the shaved ice. You name it – red bean, cendol, grass jelly, roasted peanuts, sweet corns and even nata de coco thrown in for a good measure!

Stall at Setapak Air Panas Food Court
Despite being a food court stall, they serve a rather pretty looking ais kacang as opposed to the usual messy goodness you know of. Their ais kacang consists of finely shaved ice, with multiple toppings placed on the side; hence adding the pretty 'wow' factor. You can get plenty of mashed red beans, creamed corn, peanuts and soft cooked red beans with cincau in the this sweet bowl of delights. For less than 4 bucks, this bowl of ice kacang is certainly well worth the money. The only downside would be the ambiance of the place, as it's not exactly ideal.

PapparichCertified
halalPapparich literally needs no introduction. It’s rather a hub that combines all sorts of local delights under one roof, and ice kacang is no exception. At RM7.90 per bowl, no doubt it was considerably expensive for an ice kacang dessert. But rest assured that the Pappa ABC Special with Ice Cream doesn’t skimp on the ingredients. Plus, it also rather fulfilling, with generous amounts of red beans, sweet corns, cendol, mixed jelly, Gula Melaka and lychee mixed all together. Topped with a scoop of ice cream and you get the perfect ice kacang for that sunny hot day!
