Some may love it and some may not. This interestingly designed dish is quite as there are braised vegetables filled in tiny little baskets or pastry cups. The dish itself is commonly ordered as an appetiser, or given as part of a set meal. It's crispy on the outside and warm on the side, combining various flavours and most importantly - textures. Some may serve with chilli sauce and some may not, but a properly done pai tee is without a doubt, rather addictive.

The Tranquerah
The Tranquerah is one of the best nyonya restaurants in PJ. Located in Glo Damansara, this restaurant looks like it's about to bring you back in time. With its self-made tin chairs and tables, 90s candies and magazine, it truly does feel very different. However, there's one thing that has been consistent throughout the years, their range of awesome nyonya dishes. Amongst all that is available, the pai tee works great as an appetiser, with its crispy basket and crunchy braised vegetables!
