Best Wantan Mee in Melaka

Written by Updated ago

As many of you might already realise, there are variants to the wantan mee when it comes to a different state. Dark soy sauce for the KL-Selangor region, white for Penang and chili-base for Melaka. The noodles used too are slightly softer and more bouncier than most, alongside a pretty luxurious side.

Kedai Makanan dan Minuman Chop Beeng Cheong offers the standard Malaccan style wantan mee, which is normally done with clear sauce mixed with a little bit of chilis. Nicely cooked noodles with a good amount of sauce to coat each strand beautifully and served with char siew, dumplings and vegetables.

    Tips

Might want to add more char siew as it doesn't come generously.

    Things to expect

    Standard restaurant with hawker stalls.

    Best with

BBQ Chicken Wings and Iced Tea.

    Price

    RM4.00 to RM6.00
