Baba Yong Tau FooCertified
halalTucked in 1Borneo Mall, Baba Yong Tau Foo is amongst the very few Yong Tau Foo specialty restaurants in Kota Kinabalu that is located in a shopping mall. Additionally, the Hakka cuisine is very popular with crowds and thus resulting in endless streams of customer walk-ins especially during peak hours. Don't forget to dip your Yong Tau Foo in some chili sauce to fully experience the culture of the cuisine.

Kedai Kopi Kuo Man
Evidently a hit in the city, Kedai Makanan Kuo Man appears again in another list of ours. This time, it's for their Yong Tau Foo. The tofu here is smooth and silky just like how every amazing soft tofu should be. This one in particular is stuffed with fish paste. The combination creates a pleasurable texture as well as beautiful flavors and that is precisely why Kedai Kopi Kuo Man has shown up again in Food Advisor!

Kedai Kopi Jia Siang
Love yourself some san nyuk min (pork noodle)? Kedai Kopi Jia Shang is well named for it. We can't deny that the restaurant does serve amazing pork noodles but in this case, we definitely love the Yong Tau Foo better. The Hakka style stuffed tofu is made with utmost expertise and precision. It is only with the basics perfected that such a result can come to plate. The tofu is silky smooth, the stuffing is very flavorful and even the skin of the beancurd is pleasantly chewy and tasty! To fully understand what we (and many others) mean, you're just going to have to try one yourself.

Da Chen
Restaurant Da Chen should be no stranger to fellow Hakka tofu lovers. The stuffed tofu here is extremely popular and many loyal customers argue that there is no better tofu outside the four walls of Da Chen, literally. The stuffing is freshly made daily out of minced pork and prawn. The meat is chunky yet soft and succulent at the same time. Embraced in the silky smooth tofu, it is no wonder why this dish is such a big hit.
