Hot pots have
remained to be an integral part of the Chinese dining cuisine simply because
the food is good and simple, perfect even for large gatherings. Sichuan or mala
flavoured broths are always a favourite choice, especially for those whose
tongues crave only the spiciest. The typical Sichuan style broth is essentially
made up of lots and lots of Sichuan peppercorns, heaps of dried chilies and
drowned in a thick layer of chili oil. So for all those who desperately need
the heat, here’s a list of the recommended Sichuan hot pots in KL.

Dragon Door Steamboat
Dragon Door is fashioned to look like a traditional inn from one of the ancient dynasties. Don’t expect any kung fu fighting here though, because their signature is the charcoal steamboat. This preserves the quality and taste of the food, making it worthy enough to be placed in your mouth. Their Spicy Soup teems with Szechuan spice that leave tongues numb but with an underlying tingling sensation that brings back the thirst for heat. Their slices of meat are imported from New Zealand, Australia and Vietnam, so they’re definitely here to impress!
