The version of baked eggs served at VCR differs slightly from the usual ones we’re used to. Instead of your typical Shakshuka style where everything is baked inside a hot plate and topped with loads of cheese, the Turkish Baked Eggs’ main ingredient are whole chickpeas. These are mixed with a tomato based sauce, plenty of onions and chicken chipolata sausages. Eggs are poached perfectly and served with sourdough bread, baked perfectly with a buttery centre. Would be great if they added more of that tomato based sauce and cheese to give it that ‘oomph’.More info
