Born & Bread
Marinated in Born & Bread’s special blend of herbs and spices, with a local twist, this Chicken Wings is not exactly what it may seem, or in this case, taste. The marinate taste a little bit like barbecue, a little bit like marmite, except not really. The chicken itself is nicely charred while chicken still remains moist, chewy and tender, a feat that is not as easy in theory. The serving also comes with hickory smoked sauce though the wings are great enough on its own. In the spirit of the greatest finger food invented by man, Born & Bread chicken wings is not what it seems but still manage to exude a sense of familiarity.

Makan CultureCertified
halalThe Bangkok wings at Makan Culture offer a slight Thai twist to the everybody’s favourite poultry snack. As far as plating goes, the strips of pandan leaves nicely garnish the wings, and a bowl of Thai dipping sauce is place neatly to the side. For the most part, the wings are on the dry side, but that’s not to say that it lacks flavour, because there’s definitely a saltiness and richness that you look for in a plate of chicken wings. Coupling the wings with the Thai dipping sauce takes the dish to another level. It adds spiciness and tartness to a set of chicken wings that greatly benefit from it.

Ah Loong @ Sri Rampai
The famous Sri Rampai Chicken Wings is known for its notorious waiting time or for the more unfortunate, the “sold out” gesture. This doesn’t come as a surprise as the chicken wings here are marinated in a special sauce that has a touch of pandan leaves, giving it their signature flavour and fragrant aroma. Slightly charred with sweet, aromatic flavours, your knees will grow weak from sinking your teeth into a piece of wing.
