Best Grilled Chicken in Kota Kinabalu

Upperstar is a great place to have a simple yet scrumptious plate of grilled chicken. It's not in any way fancy whatsoever, but what served on the plate is done quite nicely - with a bit of love. The grilled chicken is incredibly tender and served alongside some fries and a douse over with their homemade black pepper sauce. It may look like a mess from far, but no doubt, it is absolutely delicious. 

As the name suggests, Grill'z Kitchen is a great place to indulge yourself in some of the best grilled meats in the city. From lamb to beef, and of course, chicken as well. All these are nicely grilled to perfection, with just the right amount of char on the crust while still maintaining an incredibly moist and succulent flesh internally. Served with fries, salad and homemade sauce on the side, Grill'z Kitchen's grilled chicken is absolutely delightful.

The Glass Grill & Bar is located on the 7th floor of Suria Sabah, coupled with a pretty decent view. Interiorly, it's done quite nicely with a sense of contemporary influence, with patterned carpets, drop ceiling and plenty of glass. The design of the place is also reflected on the food, as they're all cooked perfectly and nicely presented. 

Lucy's Kitchen is a place you'll go for a quick and decent meal. They offer a wide array of both local and western cuisine under one roof. As for their grilled chicken, it is done till perfectly tender with a light char on the edge, while being incredibly tender and moist beneath. The sauce that comes with it too gave it that added flavour and kick, while the mash potatoes and salad complimented on the side.

For those who you who wish to indulge and devour a good load of meat and seafood, then Sailor's Cafe might be the place for you. Stationed in Plaza Grand Millenium, this humble restaurant is decorated quite rustically - similar to those pubs by the sea in western countries. Their menu too is fairly extensive with burgers to chops, steaks to pastas. As for their grilled chicken, it's done fairly simply with a nice chunk of chicken thighs marinated and grilled to juicy perfection. It also comes with a side of mash potatoes (or pasta, your choice) and salad.
