Ikan bakar literally translated means “burned fish”. It is traditionally a Malaysian dish of charcoal-grilled fish or a type of seafood dish if you put it in general terms. The grilled seafood is especially popular within the vicinity of peninsular Malaysia. It is quite popular among the Malays as it is traditionally a Malay dish. The fish is usually marinated with a mixture of spices pastes and belacan or sweet soy sauce depending on the restaurant. halalPopular to many as it is known to be one of the better grilled fish dishes around the area of Subang that’s reasonable and delicious to eat. Presented in a simple sheet of banana leaf to give that extra fragrant flavour with a small saucer of special sauce to enhance the flavour of the burnt grilled fish. Smother the sauce over the fish or you can dip it in depending on your preference. It shouldn’t take long at all as the fish is usually cooked early in the morning. Be it a dish on its own or with rice and other dishes, it’ll still taste as good as ever.
