Nasi Kerabu, otherwise known as the blue rice, is a great way to enjoy multiple taste and textures on a plate. Not to mention that the dish itself is usually Instagram worthy. Following that is a series of assorted sides to compliment, gravy, blue rice, salted egg yolk and on occasions, fried fish or chicken.

It had been on papers several times for its astonishing attributes, and one that is supported by a good swarm of loyal supporters. D'Lengkuas Restoran Selera Kampung
If you like your nasi kerabu to be packed with stuff and messy as hell, then D'Lengkuas Restoran Selera Kampung (that's an awfully long name) would be the ideal choice for you. Their version of the nasi kerabu is slightly more modern as compared to some, with fried fish and different sorts of vegetables placed instead of the traditional ones. Having said that, the dish itself is still bloody delicious and one could go for seconds without question.

Restoran D'Bulan
Restoran D'Bulan is a humble roadside stall that offers a selected array of dishes that involves mostly rice. As for their nasi kerabu, it is well packed with a handful of assorted vegetables, gravy and ikan keli. The flavours are complex and the multi-tiered texture works really well here. All and all, for RM5 it's one heck of a nasi kerabu.

D'Pandan
D'Pandan is a casual restaurant that focuses most of their business in catering, apart from operating their restaurant. In any case, they're fairly popular for their nasi kerabu, which has said to be one of the better ones around. The rice may look a little too blue, but it's all good. Served with chicken rendang, assorted vegetables and dried shaved coconut floss on the side.
