SALTed
You must be carrying a rabbit’s tail in your pocket, because SALTed has decided to bring an authentic delicacy from the east, with their Sarawak Laksa. This bowl of red goodness is filled to the brim with fresh seafood, omelette strips, and fragrant spices. The noodles are slithery and tastes exceptionally good with its broth. Pair with the side of homemade belacan for an explosive flavour.

The restaurant kicked off in Johor Bahru over a decade ago and has since expanded humbly to Petaling Jaya. Little Penang Cafe
Over the years, Little Penang has been one of the more popular restaurants to get authentic Penang food. True enough, while the laksa and hokkien mee here may not top the original ones in Penang itself, the dishes are pretty authentic. Besides the famous Asam Laksa here, expect to be pleased with the Siamese Lemak Laksa which is of rich coconut milk base with rice noodles. Little Penang is pretty much the most convenient and accessible restaurant to go as there are various outlets in malls across PJ and KL.More infoLittle Penang Cafe View restaurant

Laksa Taman Bahagia
Located just a stone’s throw away from Taman Bahagia LRT Station, this little stall has been gloating up patrons for years with a delectable bowl of Kedah-style laksa. The size of the stall is pretty small but it’s easily identified thanks to the long queue. In contrary to the famous Penang version, the broth is milder in colour and the silky smooth noodles is cut into shorter strips. Despite the variation, the broth offers a subtle balance of sour and sweet flavours while the liberal topping of shredded fish, cucumber, onion, ginger buds and prawn paste rounds up the dish. The portion is pretty big and it does not put a hole in your wallet.
