First impression is always the best impression, but how much does it relate to food? A Malay delicacy dish originated from Kelantan and its bright blue in colour, you surely know, raise the curtain for Nasi Kerabu. To clear your curiosity, the lovely colour comes from butterfly-pea flower, which exudes a heavenly aroma too. It’s also infused with heaps of herbs and usually paired with fried mackerel, salted egg, fresh salad and crispy crackers. Despite being a traditional Kelantanese dish, there are plenty of mouthwatering spots in Penang that are rave-worthy. How good is it? Is it equal to the east coast? Let your palate do the crucial judgement!
