Restaurant Super Kitchen
The name itself has been sprouting around KL like mushrooms, and even recently opened a branch in Singapore. The original shop in Kepong still operates today and stands as one of the busiest branches of the six. If you can’t decide between the traditional soup and chilli pan mee, then have a go at the curry version of this dish. It’s getting the best of both worlds – soupy and spicy. Noodles here are thicker and firmer and prepared upon ordering. As for the secret behind their homemade chilli, that has been a well-kept family recipe since they started.More infoRestaurant Super Kitchen View restaurant

Madam Chiam Curry Noodle House
She raves about her five-star curry noodles but it’s her dry chilli pan mee that gets the attention of customers. As with most shops, it’s served with minced pork, fragrant anchovies and watery soft boiled egg for added flavour. However, she rebels against the traditional hand-pinched/long and springy/soft and chewy pan mee that we’re all familiar with and serves egg noodles instead. But we won’t hold that against her! A small bowl of spinach soup to accompany your meal as an added bonus for your taste buds, so why not?More infoMadam Chiam Curry Noodle House View restaurant

Restaurant Kin Kin
Another unassuming eatery, Restoran Kin Kin is located in the peculiar spot among mechanic shops and is best known for its chilli pan mee. The noodles are purely handmade and is a big hit for its springy and chewy texture. To top it all off, each pan mee dish is completed with a soft poached egg, minced pork and anchovies. Chilli flakes are unlimited so depending on how hot you can handle, feel free to top up as you go! Kin Kin has also been voted by the people as one of KL’s best cheap eats.More infoRestaurant Kin Kin View restaurant

Tian Yake Mee Cendawan
Serving pan mee with character since 1975! All noodles are rolled and flattened using a good ol’fashioned glass bottle and served with lots and lots of mushrooms. It may not be the most ideal place to set up a hawker stall, but that doesn’t stop customers from swarming in like moths to a flame! Mr Yong’s broth has a thick consistency that you can hardly find in most soup pan mee. If you opt to add an egg, they’ll crack one right onto the bottom of your bowl to slowly cook in piping hot soup. Raw pan mee is also available if you’re looking to cook your own!More infoTian Yake Mee Cendawan View restaurant

Jojo Little Kitchen
This not-so-little restaurant is like the Willy Wonka factory of pan mee. Take a look at their menu and you’ll see a variety of flavours you might not even know about! Herbal chicken, century egg, hot and spicy, fried pork pan mee are just a few unique versions of this noodle dish. The food here is on the pricier side but it still manages to keep their regular patrons coming for more. The secret ingredient of blended green chilli and belacan mixed into dry pan mee gives a taste that makes it authentically Jojo’s.More infoJojo Little Kitchen View restaurant

View in Google Maps Ah Po Pan Mee
This famous and local Ampang favourite Ah Po Pan Mee has been serving great tasting hand made noodles for a long while now. Being a hidden gem for so long without losing quality throughout the years, you could say that they are a big deal. Along with that customers are able to add a lot of toppings, more noodles, and ofcourse more chili! What's more is that the food served here is so much more affordable even with the extra add-ons that you might want to order. Also, you would still be able to meet the Ah Po, or Grandma, whom the store is named after that makes the noodles daily.More infoAh Po Pan Mee View restaurant

Lian Kee Pan Mee
Run by husband and a wife, this humble hawker stall looks like your average neighbourhood supper spot, but you’ll notice most of their customers are enjoying their plate of Pan mee. Over here you have three choices of noodles to choose from: thin, thick or hand-pinched. The soup has a sweet taste, thanks to the hours of boiling pork bones and dried anchovies. The pan mee sells out pretty quickly so be sure to get there early, otherwise you would need to settle for their yee mee instead.More infoLian Kee Pan Mee View restaurant

Chin Kee Pan Mee
If you’re going for the first time, you might become confused at the sight of a hawker stall inside an aged building. Follow the crowd and you’ll see that everyone patiently waits for available seats, despite the lunch rush. Garnished with super hot chilli, anchovies and black fungus, the black sauce with lard is the key to its mouthwatering taste. The chilli is said to be on the sweet side but that just means you can add more! Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area!More infoChin Kee Pan Mee View restaurant
