If you're looking for a healthier alternative to any conventional desserts, IlaoIlao may just be the place for you. Originated in Spain, the natural frozen yoghurt giant has been really well received internationally, especially in our neighbouring country Singapore. Apart from just yoghurt, they have a series called the Sanum, where it's done with a layer of froyo at the bottom of the cup, followed by your choice of topping, three layers of fruits, another layer of topping, a generous amount of froyo on top and drenched with your choice of sauce.

Starting with the stunning-looking presentation, followed by the use of liquid nitrogen to fill the core of the Golden "Mandarin" Orange, roasted cocoa ribs and soil, hardening them and smashing it with the hammer provided. The liquid nitrogen will then assist in making the "Mandarin Popcorn" and will then pop onto the plate. The last part of this dessert is to pour in the Citrus and Chocolate sauce, that will half-harden throughout the dessert, giving it a diverse and interesting texture to the dessert itself. This dessert is very complex and is definitely one of the must-tries of Skillet at 163. 

Salted egg cannoli- just the name itself pretty much sums up a savoury cum sweet dessert. Stuffed in a crunchy chocolate tube is a cream of salted egg that explodes in a peculiar, yet tantalizing savoury flavour. Fusing together with the chocolate that surrounds it, you get a mouthful of rich and decadent taste; one that will have you wanting more.  

Nadeje, the infamous crepe cake from Melaka has finally opened its doors to the people of KL, here in Mid Valley Megamall. Their specialty, which is the layered crepe cake, has been the ideal souvenir for anyone to buy back during their trip at Melaka. Now, you can have them fresh here at Mid Valley. Each slice of cake as tens of crepe stacked upon one another filled with delicious flavoured cream. Tiramisu, mango, banana, chocolate, and many more are available! 

Bistro Richard is a place you will want to visit to celebrate an occasion - mostly romantic because it is located deep within Sentul East - right next to KLPAC. This restaurant has been the go-to place for many couples over the years. They offer classic western cuisine such as pastas, steaks, pizzas and many more. Their desserts are fairly limited but they also do have occasional desserts such as Valentines, Christmas and New Years. Depending on the season, you will be served accordingly and if not, you could also go for their panna cotta.

Honey Toast has come a long way ever since its first appearance here in KL. Now, there are many variations to this box of jewels, and it does not necessarily come in a square-on toast. Jemi Cafe's version is a little more deconstructed, with each cube buttered up nicely and toasted to crispy perfection. The condiments aside are berry compote, toasted nuts, berries, macaron and finished with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Fortunately, the ice cream doesn't melt all that quickly while the toast is crispy enough to hold the liquid without getting too soggy - so that you could take your time to Instagram such as beauty.

They are situated at the south side of Mid Valley where a pretty large kiosk-like dining area can be seen from afar. In a place where the owners wanted to share the joy of Penang cuisine to the locals of Kuala Lumpur, you can be certain that they will introduce the infamous Penang Cendol. It is a simple one done with red beans, cendol jelly, finely shaved iced, gula melaka as of course, coconut milk. It also has a nice balance of ice - water ratio, in which the cendol was not entirely drinkable nor is it too hard to enjoy. Located in Suria KLCC, 108 Matcha Saro has recently opened their first-ever outlet in Malaysia early this year. As you can tell by their name, 108 Matcha Saro specialises in all things matcha. 108 Matcha Saro was first opened in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, Japan and their outlets have expanded since then. Their menu includes soft serve and obanyaki, along with their signature parfait and mochi.

Other than its branch in Subang Jaya, you can find Naj & Belle in Bangsar too! This place serves Western food and desserts. The relaxed and chill ambience of the café will want to make you stay longer and order more cakes! Their signature Watermelon cake, which is the perfect mood booster, as they would say, is a must-try! This restaurant’s menu includes International and Asian cuisines, along with its indulgent and Instagram-worthy desserts. Some of the desserts that will make you drool are such as banana butterscotch cake, churros donut stack, tiramisu and a few more! Botanica + Co will make you want to come again because of its romantic ambiance and delicious food!

Little People café’s specialty is their cheesecake that comes in three flavours; the ‘Signature not so burnt cheesecake’, ‘Matcha cheesecake’ and ‘Hojicha cheesecake’. If you’re craving for a Matcha dessert, you might want to come to Torokin, located in Lot 10 KL. Their signature Torokin’s matcha tiramisu is apparently one of the famous desserts in KL. The matcha tiramisu is served in a wooden box, and the dessert itself is soft and creamy, but nothing too sweet. The sweet cream and bitter matcha make a great combination, using premium Matcha.

If you’re a huge fan of chocolate, Choco Loco caffe is one of the few cafes for chocolate desserts in KL. They serve varieties of chocolate desserts from waffles, brownies, pancakes, crepes, churros, it is just heaven for chocolate lovers!
